TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
I would like my students to come out of their lessons with a gratifying sense of accomplishment and the motivation to keep growing, out of the excitement and joy of the learning process. I work with each student's goals, custom-tailoring lessons to their specific needs and learning style, so that no matter what, they leave feeling not only capable of experiencing the joy of music on their instrument, but excited about the journey they are on — confident they are being led and taken care of as they pursue whatever music aspiration they may have, no matter how small or big it may be.

ABOUT
MR. DANIEL
From a young age, Mr. Daniel was captivated by how powerfully and intimately music could move his entire being, giving him a sense of identity and emotional expression. As a teenager, he taught himself to write, produce, and record his own music, and soon began serious study with master guitar instructor Héctor Aguilar — who introduced him to the world of classical guitar and showed him the joy of teaching and what it means to help people achieve meaningful, life-changing goals.
With Mr. Aguilar's encouragement and training, Daniel successfully auditioned to study guitar at the university level at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, where he studies under widely recognized, renowned senior guitar professor Dr. Michael Quantz — a life-changing moment and a dream come true. Through his years at the university, his love for teaching has grown into a central part of who he is. He enjoys learning everything he can about how to make students fall in love with what they're learning, and his favorite part of teaching is when a student expresses even the tiniest excitement and joy in the learning process.
