Kristen Salinas is a Music Education Major studying voice at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV ). During her time here, Kristen has performed in the UTRGV Opera Workshop productions, with her recent credits being 'Geraldine' in Samuel Barber's "A Hand of Bridge", "Dream Lucy" in the U.S. Premiere of Monica Pierce's "April", and ensemble in Gilbert and Sullivan's "Trial by Jury". Kristen made her debut with the UTRGV Opera Workshop as "La Fée" in Pauline Viardot's "Cendrillon" in November 2023. Aside from university, Kristen has also volunteered her performance in community theatre and city events, with her recent credit being part of ensemble and scenes for Camille Playhouse's "Meet Camille' Production in July 2023. Kristen loves the voice and she hopes to inspire her students to find their voices, and be able to tell a story through their voice.
