OUR STUDIO

"It never felt like my idea."

Brownsville Piano Studio started in a living room, with 35 students and a waiting list.

This is how that became a school.

IN MISS LINDA'S WORDS

How It Started

Two minutes with our founder on the gap year that never ended.

I couldn't sleep. I wrote a business plan. The next day I looked for a place and signed a lease.

OUR STORY

From a Living Room...

Every school starts somewhere. Ours started with a piano that belonged to Linda's parents.

IN MEMORY

Without George there is No BPS

George Ramirez Muñoz co-founded the Brownsville Society for the Performing Arts and spent his life making room for musicians in this city. He believed in Brownsville Piano Studio before there was much to believe in. He championed our students, showed up for them, and helped open doors this studio could not have opened alone.

Every December we hold the George Ramirez Young Artists Festival in his honor. Our students play the music he spent a lifetime protecting, and his family sits in the front row.

THE STUDIO

Step Inside

We built a studio that feels like somewhere you want to be. Warm light, real pianos, and a lobby where families actually stay a while. Come see it. Bring your phone.

BEYOND THE LESSON

Where Our Students Play

Practice happens at home. Music happens in front of people. Our students perform far beyond our recital hall, because playing for an audience is where confidence actually gets built.

They leave with more than a repertoire.

  • Winter and Spring Recitals, every semester

  • The George Ramirez Young Artists Festival, every December

  • State and national competitions, festivals, and masterclasses

  • Nursing homes, museums, churches, malls, and the Brownsville airport
