About the Event
You've been waiting for an invitation to come try it out. This is it.
On Saturday, August 29, from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM, we're opening every room of the studio. Every program we offer runs a real session, taught by the real instructor. Not a demo, not a sales pitch. The schedule is published, so you can come for the one class your kid has been curious about, or make a day of it and try four.
We start at 11:00 with the whole room cup-tapping together (no skill required, that's the entire point) and we end at 2:15 with a prize drawing. In between: piano, violin, guitar, choir, three rounds of drumline, music for babies and toddlers, and yes, a class just for adults. Every age has something, from 0 to grown-up.
It's completely free. Reserving your session holds your seat, and some rooms genuinely fill. We have 12 keyboards and 8 loaner guitars, and when they're taken, they're taken.
Does my child need any experience?
None. Not for any session, and not for you either. The opening cup-tapping is designed so that a person who has never touched an instrument succeeds in the first five minutes.
What ages is this for?
All of them, truly: Little Gems is for ages 0–3 with a grown-up, My Parent & Me is 4–5, Group Violin starts at 4, Choir and Guitar at 7, Piano Band runs 6–12 by group, Drumline is 8+, and Adult Group Piano is 18+. There's a session for every person in your family, including you.
Do we have to stay the whole time?
No. Come for one 25-minute session and leave, or arrive at 11:00 and stay through the drawing. Each session runs once at its scheduled time, so check the schedule and plan around the ones you want.
What does it cost?
Nothing. It's free. We just ask you to reserve so we can hold seats and have enough loaner instruments sized and ready.
What's the prize drawing?
At 2:15 we draw for prizes including a free month of fall group class. Attend two or more sessions and your stamp card is your entry, and you must be present to win.
Can we sign up for fall classes that day?
Yes! Miss Linda is at the placement table all day booking fall class times, and our Back 2 School BOGO (50% off a second class when a student takes two) runs through Monday, August 31. Open House weekend is the best moment of the year to join.
Where do we park / where do we go?
We're at 5005 Paredes Line Rd. Come in through the front. The check-in table is right at the door, and they'll point you to your first room.
