TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
I believe every singer should be supported from the very beginning with a strong vocal foundation that equips them to sing with confidence in any style. My goal is not only to help students develop healthy, versatile technique, but also to teach them how to become independent musicians who can confidently perform and adapt in any musical setting. Beyond the notes, I want students to leave each lesson believing they are capable — growing in confidence, curiosity, discipline, and a genuine love for music, knowing they have a teacher who encourages them, celebrates their progress, and gives them the tools to succeed long after our lessons end.

ABOUT
MS. KRISTEN
Kristen Salinas is a Vocal Performance major studying voice at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Kristen has performed in UTRGV Opera Workshop productions, with recent credits including Geraldine in Samuel Barber's "A Hand of Bridge," Dream Lucy in the U.S. premiere of Monica Pierce's "April," and ensemble in Gilbert and Sullivan's "Trial by Jury." She made her Opera Workshop debut as La Fée in Pauline Viardot's "Cendrillon" in November 2023.
Beyond the university, Kristen has volunteered her performance in community theatre and city events, including Camille Playhouse's "Meet Camille" production. Kristen loves the voice, and she hopes to inspire her students to find their voices and tell a story through them.
