TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
I want every student to leave each lesson feeling capable, inspired, and excited to sit at the piano again. My teaching focuses on helping students understand why music works β not just what notes to play β so they build confidence, independence, and a lifelong appreciation for music.

ABOUT
MR. ANDRE
Andre Garcia began studying piano out of a love for music that steadily grew into a passion for both performance and teaching. He earned his Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Piano Performance. During his graduate studies, he has served as a graduate assistant in collaborative and class piano, gaining valuable experience accompanying instrumentalists and vocalists and teaching beginning pianists.
Throughout his musical training, Andre has studied a wide range of repertoire spanning the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and contemporary periods. His experience as both a solo pianist and collaborative musician has shaped his belief that great musicianship comes from understanding music, not simply reproducing notes on a page.
As a teacher, Andre is passionate about helping students build confidence, independence, and a genuine love for music. His lessons emphasize strong fundamentals while encouraging curiosity, creativity, and critical listening. Whether teaching a young beginner or an adult returning to the piano, his goal is a welcoming environment where every student feels challenged, supported, and excited to keep growing β musically and personally.
